Take-Two CEO Teases GTA 6 Release Date: What To Expect, Guide And More

However finally, it seems that fans may just be a step closer to knowing when the much-anticipated title will finally delight them. This is because of the latest comments from Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive. Take Two is Rockstar’s parent company. 

Fans have kept their eyes and ears open to get even the slightest hint about the release date of the upcoming game. Meanwhile amidst the anticipation, Zelnick gave away subtle hints in his recent interview with CNBC. Here’s what we can take away from his interview.

One of the most significant revelations made by Zelnick was about his connection between the “very robust pipeline of titles” as well as the company’s expectations for net bookings in fiscal 2025. The mysterious CEO implied that Take-Two’s prospects in the next couple of years were quite promising. He further added that he expected the company to make about $8 billion over that time.

It’s not difficult to crack why Zelnick is so confident about Take-Two’s bookings in the next fiscal year. That is when GTA 6 is expected to release and it’s majorly because of the awaited game. The interview, may be considered to be a well-disguised confirmation of GTA 6 possible release anytime between April 2024 and March 2025. The CEO made sure to strike the right balance between transparency and secrecy in the interview.

What is even more impressive is that Zelnick specifically mentioned “titles coming from all labels”. Even though GTA 6 has reportedly cost Take-Two more than a billion dollars. However, it is expected to make up the cost within just days of launching.

In addition to Rockstar, Take-Two also owns many other subsidiaries that are in charge of producing other blockbuster games. Judas, which received an official trailer at The Game Awards the previous year, will also be launched by then, staggered with the following BioShock title. 

It is pretty clear to understand why Take-Two’s net bookings will reach a record high in less than two years just combining these two games with a plethora of other yearly fixtures like WWE 2K, NBA 2K, and so many more.

In the end of the interview, Zelnick has been the clearest about the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date than ever before. In fact, this is the first time he’s mentioned both a fiscal year and GTA 6 at the same time. If that’s not an indication of GTA 6’s likely release window then we doubt what else is. 

However, GTA 6’s real release date still remains undisclosed. Thus players will still have to wait for official word from Rockstar. Fans can only hope that this happens as quickly as possible; else, the now-famous Grand Theft Auto person might crash another event. Again.
