This meta-game mode, released on July 20, 2023, alongside League of Legends Ranked Season 2023 Split 2, offers players an opportunity to partake in a unique combat experience centered around the journey of the relentless champion, Samira.

How to Play League of Legends: Tournament of Souls

After updating League of Legends to the latest version, players can access the Tournament of Souls under the ‘Home’ tab on the League of Legends client. This mini-game holds several facets and offers an engaging story for players to dive into. Here’s how to enjoy the Tournament of Souls:

Launch the Tournament: Navigate to the Tournament of Souls section on the LoL client to open up a completely different game mode.

Select Difficulty: Choose between two difficulty settings: Story and Expert. The Story mode is relatively easier compared to Expert.

Unfold the Story: Immerse yourself in the narrative as you read about Samira’s journey and the challenges she faces.

Duel with Champions: Your first battle will be against Jhin, and the game will guide you through various aspects of the battle, including abilities and combos.

Win the Duel: The first to reduce their opponent’s health to 0 wins. Each battle has a timer, and failure to defeat the opponent within it will result in defeat.

Progress through the Map: Upon winning a battle, you progress on a map that consists of ten champions from League of Legends.

Unlock New Abilities: After each fight, you can unlock a new ability and assign it using the Edit option.

Earn Reputation Points: Reputation Points are crucial to proceed to the next battle. You can earn them by completing missions in the 2v2v2v2 Arena mode in League of Legends.

Gaining Reputation Points in Tournament of Souls:

To progress through the Tournament of Souls, players need Reputation Points, which are earned by completing missions in the 2v2v2v2 Arena game mode. You can check your Reputation Points at the bottom-left corner of the screen, above Samira’s name.

Players may encounter bounty missions during the gameplay, which can be completed by playing as the relevant champion. Reading the champion’s quote provides a hint on how to fulfill the bounty mission.
