Indian esports reached a thrilling climax as Gladiators Esports secured victory in the BGMI Masters Series Season 2 (BGMS 2023), bagging a staggering ₹1 crore in prize money. In an exhilarating showdown, the team claimed the championship with a razor-thin one-point lead, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Gladiators Esports, affiliated with GodsReign, emerged as the ultimate champions of BGMI Masters Series Season 2. Their remarkable journey was marked by resilience and determination. Over three intense matchdays from August 25–27, the team amassed a total of 150 points, secured two chicken dinners in 12 matches, and achieved an impressive 73 finishes. The standout performance by Justin from Gladiators Esports earned him the coveted MVP award for his 85 finishes.

A Heart-Pounding Finish:

The final match on the last day of the tournament was a nail-biting affair. Gladiators Esports and Orangutan Gaming entered the grand finals’ last match with 142 and 149 points, respectively. Orangutan Gaming seemed poised for victory with a 7-point advantage. However, their dreams were dashed as Velocity Gaming eliminated them in the third zone with zero finishes. This turn of events opened the door for Gladiators Esports, who made calculated moves to secure the championship.

Prize Pool Distribution:

The BGMI Masters Series Season 2 boasted a total prize pool of ₹2.1 crore, which was distributed among the 24 competing teams based on their tournament rankings. Gladiators Esports claimed the lion’s share with Rs. 1 crore, while Orangutan Gaming secured Rs. 35 lakh as runners-up. Velocity Gaming took home ₹12.5 lakhs for their third-place finish, and other teams received varying amounts of prize money based on their performance.

Special Awards:

Justin “Justin” Nadar of Gladiators Esports was not only the MVP but also earned the title of TVS Most Wicked Player, accompanied by a cash incentive of ₹1.2 lakhs. Akshat “AkshaT” Goel from Team SouL was recognized as the audience’s favorite Raider and received a TVS Raider Bike.

The BGMI Masters Series Season 2 witnessed the pinnacle of competitive gaming in India, with Gladiators Esports emerging as the deserving champions. Their victory by a one-point margin showcased the fierce competition in the world of esports.
