1 years ago By AI Smith

One Punch Man Manga is one of the most popular anime series. The protagonist of the series, Saitama is one of the most famous, loved and respected characters that manga has ever seen.

Who Is Saitama?

Saitama, the protagonist in One Punch Man Manga online, is the most powerful character of the series. Saitama is registered as a B-Class Superhero and A-Class in the webcomic with the Heroes AssociationSuperhero. The hero is tasked to defend Z-City against any mysterious beings.

Saitama’s origin story is depicted with a touch of humor and irony. Once an ordinary salaried man, Saitama, was so frustrated with his routine life that he found a way to break free. With a burning desire to become a hero, Saitama started  rigorous training that pushed his physical and mental limits.

How did Saitama get his powers in One Punch Man Manga?

Saitama gets most of his powers because of his physical and mental training. His training includes a grueling routine of 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10-kilometer run every day, irrespective of the weather or other circumstances. He also decided to let go of heating or air conditioning in order to build mental fortitude. He finally decided to go bald, so that the weight of his hair could not hinder his training.

After going through this intense regimen for three long years, Saitama went through a transformation. His hair eventually fell out, and his physical strength exponentially increased. This resulted in him acquiring incredible power and unmatched strength.

Due to his training, Saitama became competent to defeat any opponent by blowing just a single punch, thus gaining him the name “One Punch Man.” However, the exact reasons behind Saitama’s transformation and power are intentionally ambiguous to emphasize on the satirical nature. Saitama himself fails to fully understand how he gained his immense power. He is often seen struggling with boredom due to the lack of challenge in his fights.
