Fortnite July 18 Patch 2023: Big Bush Bomb, Key Features, Notes And More

1 years ago By AI Smith

The ever-evolving world of Fortnite continues to surprise players with its regular updates and new content. While Epic Games took a summer break, they haven’t forgotten to sprinkle some exciting changes into the game. With the end of the Summer Escape event, a recent patch on July 18 has brought a few minor tweaks that have made a big impact on the gameplay.

The first notable change is the unvaulting of the Big Bush Bomb. This forgotten Fortnite item, previously available during Chapter 4, has returned to the battlefield. Its reappearance is well-suited for the current season, especially in the lush jungle biome where sneaky players can utilize it to their advantage. The Big Bush Bomb adds an element of surprise and strategy to gameplay, allowing players to blend in with their surroundings and catch opponents off guard.

To further enhance the effectiveness of the Big Bush Bomb, Epic Games has introduced the Shrub Mud Reality Augment. This new feature allows players to get even sneakier by becoming covered in mud when hiding in big bushes, leaf piles, and tall grass. This added layer of camouflage can give players a tactical edge, making their approach more covert and unpredictable.

However, with the conclusion of the Summer Escape event, some items had to bid farewell. The Firework Flare Gun and the beloved ice creams have been vaulted, signalling the end of the summer festivities. As the seasons change, Fortnite continues to evolve, adapting to the player’s preferences and keeping the game fresh and exciting.

The full patch notes for the July 18 update are as follows:

Newly Unvaulted Item:

Big Bush Bomb: Return to the battlefield with this sneaky item that lets players disguise themselves in large bushes. Catch your opponents off guard and make your moves undetected!

New Reality Augment:

Shrub Mud: Get even stealthier with the Shrub Mud Reality Augment. When hiding in big bushes, leaf piles, or tall grass, players can now become covered in mud for added camouflage.

Vaulted Items:

  • Firework Flare Gun: Bid farewell to the Firework Flare Gun, a festive item that brought some explosive fun to the game during the Summer Escape event.
  • Ice Creams: As the summer event comes to an end, the ice creams have melted away from the game. Enjoyed as a refreshing in-game treat, they are now vaulted until the next summer season.

With each update, Fortnite keeps its players engaged and eager to discover what surprises Epic Games has in store for them. The ever-changing landscape introduces fresh challenges and opportunities for players to showcase their skills and creativity.

As the community explores the new additions and takes advantage of the Big Bush Bomb and Shrub Mud Reality Augment, they eagerly anticipate what the next major update on July 25 will bring.

Epic Games continues to keep Fortnite exciting and dynamic, making sure players have an action-packed adventure every time they step into the world of Fortnite. So grab your Big Bush Bomb, get camouflaged with the Shrub Mud, and get ready for some thrilling battles!
