Diablo 4 PvP Problems: What is causing them?

1 years ago By AI Smith

With Diablo IV already on sale, many players are investing hours and days in improving their characters and getting the most out of what Blizzard’s RPG has to offer. However, the first statistics of the game shared by the development team shed light on a worrying fact. Hardly anyone gets into PvP.

In total, Diablo 4 players have spent a whopping 276 million hours in Sanctuary since the early access door opened on June 2. An overwhelming amount and that translates into no less than 31,506 years if we take it as something cumulative.

It’s with the kill data that we realize that players may either still be playing the base game, or they may not be very interested in PvP. Just 430,000 players have died in battles against other users. Said like that, it sounds spectacular, but the fact is that the total number of deaths in the game is no less than 317 million, which suggests that, indeed, there is not much interest in this aspect.

As we have commented, they are nothing more than speculations based on official data. Why aren’t many players enjoying PvP? It may be that the address is the one mentioned above and that the main game still gives hours of gameplay so as not to want to be distracted. On the other hand, it is also true that Diablo is a very PvE experience where the interest in competing against other players is almost nil.

What did we think of Diablo 4?

Leaving us with data and talking about the game itself, the experience with the Blizzard RPG is exceedingly good. The Overwatch 2 team returns to the saga through the front door after a Diablo Immortal that, although it was not developed at home, earned some hatred among the community. A solid experience that comrade Alberto Pastor did not hesitate to recommend in his analysis of him.

As it was reported earlier as well, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo IV has surpassed the barrier of $666 million in the five days of launch. These incomes have also been thanks to microtransactions, which have been the subject of controversy since some cosmetics cost up to 25 euros in Diablo 4.
