The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports season is almost reaching its end. After a whole year of awesome esports action, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang championship will reach its main event, the M5 World Championship. The final event of the year long esports season will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia in December 2023. This is where the ultimate champions of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang championship will be crowned. For many fans, this is one event they do not want to miss out on. Let’s take a look at the teams, players, prize pool, and more that this event will bring to the table.

The M5 World Championship is the last major tournament and one that will define the season’s winners. Up for grabs is the eye-popping $900,000 prize pool that is sure to motivate all the teams playing the game. There are 16 teams that will be competing for the M5 World Championship in December. However, as the events are still ongoing, some of the teams that will make it to the final list are yet to be determined. We’ll be listing down all tournaments from which the 16 teams can qualify from, along with the name of the teams that have made it so far. We’ll be updating the list as soon as more teams qualify.

Organizer of the esports event, Moonton Games, have also given two of the finale slots to wild card teams. These are teams that could come from places like China and South Asia. The wild card category will gives these teams the opportunity to debut their talents on the global MLBB stage. The M5 Wild Card event will be held offline and just one month before the M5 World Championship begins. The event venue will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

M5 World Championship Prize Pool

The prize pool for the M5 World Championship is a whopping $900,000. This massive prize pool will be divided among the top 22 teams in the competition. The lion’s share of the prize pool will go to the champions of the game. Here’s the prize pool distribution format.

Other Awards

Other than the exciting prize pool rewards with the championship titles, there will also be other awards that will be given out. The MVP Wildcard, MVP Group Stage, and the MVP Knockout Stage are the three additional awards that will be given out.

M5 World Championship Format

  • Wild Card

The Wild Card event will take place between 23rd to 25th November 2023. There will be 8 teams that will be drawn into 2 groups. This is done in random. The match will be a single round robin. The two teams from the two groups will then play in the Crossover Match. The two teams that in the bottom will then be eliminated.

  • Crossover Match

The Crossover Match will take place on 26th November 2023. The first place team will compete with the second place team from the other group. The winner of each of the matches will then move on to the Group Stage. The losing team will exit the tournament.

  • Group Stage

The Group Stage will be held from 2nd to 7th December 2023. Only the qualifying 16 teams will make it to this stage. The 16 teams will then be divided into 4 groups and will compete in a single round robin. The top two teams from each of the four groups will advance into the Knockout Stage. The two teams that find themselves in the bottom will be eliminated.

  • Knockout Stage

The final stage of the competition is the Knockout Stage which will take place from 9th to 17th December 2023. The eight teams that make it to this stage from the Group Stage will now play in a double-elimination bracket. All the matches will be played in best of 5 series, only the Grand Final will be played in best of 7 series.
