1 years ago By AI Smith

A leaker who shared the existence of the Nintendo Direct ahead of its official reveal hints that Detective Pikachu 2 and remasters of Pikmin and Pikmin 2 will be revealed at the event. It is likely to be released on 6 October 2023 as per reports.

Nintendo will hold a new Nintendo Direct in a little less than two hours, which, as the Japanese company itself has revealed, will be focused on showing the next titles that will arrive on Nintendo Switch in the remainder of the year in its 40-minute total duration. As usual, before the celebration of this type of marquee event, on social networks and video game forums you can already find a multitude of rumors and alleged leaks about the contents of the Nintendo Direct. Specifically, the reports, those who revealed the existence of the event before its official announcement, have hinted at some announcements of Detective Pikachu 2.

As you can see in the first attached tweet, the user has said good morning along with a GIF of the Detective Pikachu movie, a clue that many have linked to a possible advance of Detective Pikachu 2, a title that has been in the market for many years. On the other hand, in the second post, it also has hinted that remastered versions of Pikmin and Pikmin 2 will be announced, something that would not be surprising considering that Pikmin 4 is just around the corner and that Pikmin 3, an original Wii game. It was also reported which ported to the Switch under a Deluxe edition.

“It may not seem like it, but Detective Pikachu is a highly recommended and enjoyable graphic adventure that knows how to entertain and make us have a very pleasant time in front of our Nintendo 3DS without major complications,” we said in our analysis of the first title, where we highlighted ” the fun development of its script” and “the captivating charisma of its endearing protagonist”.

Will we also see a new 2D Mario?

The same user assured yesterday that a new Super Mario Bros in two dimensions will be announced in the Nintendo Direct, as well as a remake of a much-loved Super Nintendo game. This information has not been confirmed by Nintendo itself, so we recommend taking it with some caution, although there is little to be sure.
