Super Mario: Top 5 Enemies In The Game, How To Beat Them, Names, Weaknesses And More

1 years ago By AI Smith

The Super Mario saga has been active since 1985, which makes it one of the longest-lived in this magnificent hobby, so by X or Y, regardless of whether you are a regular gamer or not. Even importing little or nothing Whether you are a loyal Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft buyer, you will have heard of the La Gran N mascot par excellence.

You may have played a game starring it since Nintendo’s efforts to use it multiple times and its release even on mobile devices have made it easily accessible to the general public. As 38 years of life go a long way, the Game has presented countless enemies, sometimes new, other times recycled and other times redesigned. Today We are talking about five terrifying “monstrosities” present in the series that, of course, could be part of an even longer top, because it will not be for lack of material… Shall we start?

Eel/Unagi

Unagi, also known as Eel, made his first appearance in Super Mario 64. These terrible red and purple moray eels with yellow stripes on their hind fins have been the first nightmarish being in the Super Mario saga for many players. If you get close to their area of influence, these abyssal beings that exploit one of the great fears of humanity ( associated with the seabed and mythology, the impossibility of imagining the type of beasts that dwell there), will try to bite you quickly.

In New Super Mario Bros it appears to devour a large part of the screen in phases of water. On the other hand, his redesign in Super Mario Galaxy 2 has bulging eyes and even bigger teeth than in the original. Finally, in Super Mario Odyssey this being continues to be terrifying thanks to the greater realism and appears with a design more faithful to that of Super Mario 64.

Boohemoth

The normal thing when thinking about ghosts from the Super Mario saga is to think of the mythical Boo. The next thing when thinking of an empowered Boo who acts as the boss and is more imposing than the normal Boo who, let’s agree, far from being terrifying has a nice face, would be to think of King Boo. The problem with the phantasmagorical majesty is that, although it makes an appearance in the Super Mario Saga from time to time, its most imposing version is the one that is linked to Luigi’s Mansion, with those purple eyes and that black shadow surrounding them.

So the best alternative is Boohemoth, a Big Boo that appears in New Super Mario Bros. 2., an invincible enemy that changes the classic fangs for human incisors, chin and cheeks and, finally, eyes with a white iris or sclera and black pupils. Those more humanized features (exploiting the uncanny valley) together with his large size, make him a Boo worthy of fear.

Big Gift Eye

Super Mario 64 presented several nightmarish enemies, because in addition to the Eel, Big Don Ojo, that enormous white eye with a blue retina and black pupil, remains completely immobile in its area, always staying in the middle of our path and constantly observing us while we remain in your range of vision. It’s not difficult to defeat, nothing that can’t be solved by making you a little dizzy, but who doesn’t get goosebumps when they come across this for the first time?

Masked Ghoul

The Masked Ghoul, which would be something like “Masked Ghouls” if translated into the language of Cervantes, are possibly the most unknown enemy on the list, in part, because they only appear in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, the title originally released for the Game Boy in 1992 (a year later in Europe). This kind of Goombas who, due to their masks, also make one think of the Shy Guy, wear hockey masks with daggers stuck in them, a clear reference to Jason Voorhees, the main antagonist of Friday the 13th.

Kingfin

Once again, it returns to the fear of the seabed, of the large beasts that can live there and that have been widely explored in the collective imagination. This time, in addition, it joins another common fear, skeletons. With this introduction, it was clear Kingfin, the boss who makes his only appearance in Super Mario Galaxy, had to be on the list. This imposing skeletal shark commands a legion of Bonefins, bony piranhas of sorts. In addition, it has rays of light that similarly shine in its eyes to the headlights of a car.

Remember that the Super Mario saga is long-lived and, therefore, it has given a large number of enemies and bosses, so if you like this text, do not hesitate to comment on it to show your interest and thus exploit the possibility of carrying out other items featuring new “nightmare beasts” from the Super Mario universe. Also, we remind you that Super Mario Bros Wonder is just around the corner, and it will surely give new creatures of the style. We read you!
