What Are The New Weapons Coming To Warzone 2 and MW2 in Season 6?

The release date of Call of Duty (CoD) Season 6 is fast approaching and the gaming community is thrilled to say the least. The upcoming Modern Warfare Season 6 has promised fans of the game an experience like never before. The new season will launch on 27th September 2023 which is only five days away. However, more and more details are being released leading up to the launch which has only increased expectations.

The new season is set around the Haunted Halloween event which is perfect for the spooky month of October. Players can expect 100 tiers of content that will come with the brand-new battle pass which is operated by the antihero Spawn. Along with this, the pass also includes new weapons that can be added at no extra cost.

The Haunting Seasonal Event

Players will be happy to find that the seasonal event called ‘The Haunting’ will return. It brings with it new game modes, jump scares for multiplayers, battle royale, spooky map updates, and DMZ variants. Plenty of Halloween bundles will be available for players to buy. Some bundles to look out for are the Doom-themed chainsaw bundle, Ash Williams from the Evil Dead, a crossover with Diablo and others. This ghostly seasonal event will take place on 17th October 2023.

The Haunting event on Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 will come with different game modes which will be modified to fit the Halloween theme. Here are some mid-season adjustments that will be made by Activision:

  • Haunting Domination: A Scarecrow will act as a flag marker in this new version of Domination.
  • Haunting Drop Zone Drop Scares: There might be something ready to cause a jump scare, hiding behind the crates in this version. So, players better be careful when handling them.
  • Haunting Infected: Infected players will appear as Zombies.
  • Haunting Kill Confirmed/Grid: It will be Skulls instead of Dog Tags, that players will be collecting in the Grid and Kill Confirmed modes.

New Weapons Coming To Warzone 2 and MW2 in Season 6

Players can now look forward to upgrading their arsenal of deadly weapons as Call of Duty releases four brand new guns in the coming update. Three of them will be out immediately upon launch while a fourth will be introduced mid-season. Here is the list containing the four weapons that will be coming to CoD Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 Season 6:

  1. Assault Rifle: TR-76 Geist (Launch)
  2. Melee: Dual Kamas (Launch)
  3. SMG: ISO 9mm (Launch)
  4. Melee: DOOM Chainsaw (Mid-Season)

Upon completion of the Season 6 Battle Pass, players will be able to unlock the assault rifle, melee Dual Kamas, and the SMG. To obtain the DOOM Chainsaw, keep an eye on the bundle packs as it will become available mid-season via the packs.

Season 6 New Maps

Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 will also bring with it a total of six new maps for players to explore. This includes an added two new Gunfight maps, according to Activision. Maps El Aslio and Embassy will be going for renovation mid-season.

  1. Core: Koro Village (Launch)
  2. Core: La Casa (Launch)
  3. Gunfight: Fight (Launch)
  4. Gunfight: King (Launch)
  5. Reskin: El Asilo (Mid-Season)
  6. Reskin: Embassy (Mid-Season)
