Esports has reached its peak in the past few years. With the increasing popularity of esports, the number of esports tournaments across the world has also increased. The prize pools of the tournaments also play a major component of esports, thus attracting players, teams, and viewers. Here are the five biggest esports tournaments in the world. 

5 Biggest Esports Tournament With The Highest Money

The Land of Heroes — $45 million

In March this year, Saudi Arabian-based esports organization Gamers8 revealed its 2023 event called The Land of Heroes. This esports tournament has the biggest esports tournament prize pool ever of $45 million. Gamers8 divides this prize money between a list of games, which are yet to be revealed for this year’s edition. Last year’s edition of The Land of Heroes featured six titles, namely, PUBG Mobile, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Dota 2, and Rocket League.

Earlier the prize pool for this year was announced a $30 Million, but the organizers later revised it to three times of last year’s money of $15 Million. 

The International 12 – $25 million to $30 million

Dota’s The International is an annual esports tournament organized by DOTA developer Valve Corporation. The tournament is exclusive to the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game. The finest Dota 2 teams battle it out for the highest title of World Champion and get to share from the multi-million-dollar prize pool. This year The International 12 is expected to be between $25 million and $30 million.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship – $4.5 million

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) is held annually wherein teams from across the globe compete for the famous battle royale smartphone title. Being one of the most viewed esports events in the world. 

The FNCS Global Championship 2023 — $4 million

Epic Games organizes Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS), which is a series of online and offline tournaments. The popular battle royale-building game, hosts three major tournaments, lasting five weeks each. The first one was held in February. FNCS Global Championship 2023 will be held in Denmark’s Copenhagen and has a prize pool of $4 Million.

LoL Worlds – $2.25 million to $3 million

The League of Legends World Championship is an esports tournament organized by developer Riot Games annually. The tournament has teams from all around the globe competing for the title of world champion. It has a multi-million-dollar prize pool, $2.25 Million to $3 Million.
